seeking help to customize windshield

Hi All,
I want to buy a mini cooper S convertible and want to customize the windshield to remove the top, opaque horizontal part of the windshield frame so that I can have an unobstructed forward view from the dash to the sky when the top is down. Does anyone have advice on the best custom shop to go to ? Has anyone done this before ?
Thanks !
Kevin.

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but the opaque top of the windshield on a convertible covers one of the key structural components of the car, along with some electrical wiring components and the locking/attachment system for the top. Removing it would cause numerous structural and safety problems. I don't think any legitimate/serious custom shop would do this.
