hey everyone, I guess i preemptively joined the forums because after I test drove a 2012 hardtop S i am hooked. I basically said, "i want it."

but, unfortunately, I didnt get it that day. I will though.

1 thing I want to know, from the vast experience of many MINI owners, which year should I go with? I read the 07-09 are either lemons or solid. I plan on this being a daily driver with, most likely 0 track time. I dont know how i would get into that... but i do have a lead foot. minimal modding, maybe a loud BOV, exhaust and larger intercooler but that'd be about it.

what should I look for when I am ready to pull the trigger? I know it's super fun to drive... but is it worth it? are there a lot of common costly repairs?
any input is greatly appreciated.
