Hey everyone, in Taylor, but I go by Ritz. I have had my 2013 mini cooper s for just under a week now. I'm a refugee from the Subaru world, so I use the word bro excessively. So far I'm loving my mini and several friends recommended this forum as a good resource, so I'm here to see what I can learn.

A Saab 9-2x. That's what I meant by sort-of. I still have it too, but my girlfriend drives it now.

Welcome Ritz. I drive the MINI below and I just bought my son the Subaru BRZ. He HATES my MINI ! I am on the BRZ Forum also, are there any other good forums for the BRZ?
And by the way, we (MINIacs) are so into waving why don't we have a smiley face waver? Or did I miss it?

 

The only forum I have any real experience with for the brz/FRS is ft86, but I'm not a big fan of that forum, I'm not sure if it is run by the best people. If you want some advice on mods, or who not to go to for brz parts/tunes feel free to pm me though. I'm closely related to a shop in Connecticut that has made large waves in the brz world.

Both, old and new rides are sharp! Could you elaborate a little on why the trade in? Only reason I ask is, I have a '13 cooper s and have been somewhat obsessed with '11+ wrx. Thanks and best luck with your MINI!

Whoops, I forgot about the internet for a bit there. I decided to move on from the sti for multiple reasons. I had reached the limits of the stock turbo and fuel available to me, and to cost of making the car reliable on a bigger turbo was just not worth the effort. And even if I went through with a motor build and a big turbo the car would never be fast. Plus dynamics of the car never really suited me. I prefer lightweight cars that can be hustled down a tight road quickly over the heavy weight the sti was. Not that it wasn't fun, because it certainly was. Oh and the local Subaru scene in Connecticut is an embarrassment.

Anyway this weekend I had a friend take some shots of the car, and another one of my families cars.
