What's up? Just chose my first MINI. Gonna pick it up next week. 09 MCS 32k miles 6spd. Looking to tune it up a little without spending too much while trying to maintain fuel economy. Looking forward to all the good advice and opinions.

Bought from a private seller so it needs a bath. What are the first 3-4 upgrades you would do, on a budget?

 

IMHO off the top of my head

For looks, safety and functionality:
Shorty antenna
Glove box organizer
Rubber floor mats
Third brake light pulsar

For handling performance:
Rear sway bar
sticky tires
CG Lock for seat belt
lighter rims
performance driving school
shocks or coil-overs (not cheap)

For speed:
Not much that give big improvement that doesn't cost a fortune

Need the shorty antenna

Gonna look into the others soon. I want to spend so much $ on performance upgrades though. Damn family and kids. Ugh. Lol.
