I've done some research, but am looking to buy a CPO cooper s. looking at years 2009-2012. Anyone suggest one year over another? Also looking for sunroof - either hardtop or soft retractable. Anyone have any leakage issues? I live in Colorado, and sometimes snow can be quite heavy. Thanks....cannot wait!

 

CPO's are awesome. The warranty is 10/100 better than most of the warranty plans you can purchase for new one.

If you can afford a 2011 or 12, there were updates to the upper cylinder head/valve covers and clutch assemblies making them somewhat more desirable. Some cosmetic interior differences as well with more mono tone / black color scheme like the 1st Gen MINI's. Older R56's had some issues with sunroof not opening when outside temps are high, some need reprograming. Never any water leaking issues I am aware of.

One with sport seats would be a plus.....Had a few loaners without that option and really missed the comfort and support they provide.

There were some huge package changes for 2013 including the addition of BT as a standard option. So what you see in the MINI configurator now is not how they were dressed up for prior years.
