New/2006 GP Owner 2B
Hello Minites,
I am on the verge of buying a "new" 2006 GP. It will be my first MINI and likely my last as I am a member of the "boomer" generation. I consider '06 GPs to be the ultimate synthesis of design and performance. My knowledge of MINIs goes way back to the originals with Minlite 10" wheels and quick-release filler caps. I recall seeing Steve McQueen's offered for sale at Hollywood Sports Cars decades ago. Since 2007 I've relocated to the east coast/Connecticut. Not sure it's my cup of tea for a number of reasons. One is there are no enthusiasts around here (Fairfield County). In Cal and in Las Vegas they were all over the place. Thus I don't have anyone to share my MINI interests and passion. Anyway, I will be calling upon you for advice and to simply share my thoughts in the months following acquisition.
Thank you all,
halid
