Hi! I bought my first Cooper two days ago - a 2009 Horizon blue convertible - and LOVE it! Sadly it's rained almost nonstop since the night I brought it home, so I haven't been able to take the top down yet but am anxiously awaiting the weekend and any opportunity to take her out!



My fiance loved the car so much, the next day he took his 2010 Camero SS (that he purchased during his deployment to Afghanistan in 2009) in to the Mini dealership and traded it in on a 2010 John Cooper Works (#424!) in a gorgeous dark green that looks almost black. He brought it home late last night and left for work this morning before I did, so I haven't had a chance for a proper look, but am anticipating a ride this evening when we get home!

In the space of two days, we went from boring Chevy SUV (me) and Jeep Rubicon/Chevy Camero SS/Chevy Nova (race car - him) to matching minis! (still have the Rubicon and race car of course). Can't say I saw that one coming , but so far we LOVE our new cars and look forward to getting to know the Mini community!

Not a super good one (we'll probably do that this weekend), but here's a pic of our two minis at lunch today. (Pic posted in the Gallery as for some reason it's not showing anything from Tumblr.)

Mine is the one on top, and my fiance's is the green with white stripes. A 2010 mini JCW World Championship 50 edition, plaque 424 in connaught green btw. Curious to do some research on these as I know nothing about them. Anyone?
