New to me, first MINI

Hi Everyone, Just thought that I should introduce myself. My name is Alex and I am new to this forum.

In about 24 hours I'll be driving my new to me R53. It's a blue 2005 MINI Cooper S. I looked at it, and test drove it on Friday. I was instantly addicted to the sound of the sc-whine.

Very excited to own my first MINI. Tomorrow when I take delivery can't come soon enough!!!

Be careful biting those finger nails while you wait and you do need to remember to sleep tonight. You want to be in fine form tomorrow when you pick it up...

Thanks Eddie. Got some done on the honey-do list. Also I found an owners manual pdf, so that satisfies the insanity a bit for today.

Glad to know im not alone in my obsessiveness of cars, and MINI's in particular.

FWIW - some think that the '05 - '06 R53s are the best MINIs that were made. MINI made some upgrades to the strength of the engine for the JCW that were carried into the S and the car benefits from those changes.

I hope you have many miles of smiles with your "new" car.
