I just purchased a one owner 2009 JCW and love it.
I am a car-guy with several other fun cars, but this is my first Mini. I bought it because it s fun to drive and gets good fuel economy.
I am keen to personalize my JCW starting out by changing out the headlight/taillight surrounds, grill surrounds and door handles from chrome to black. Any suggestions as to where to find these items? How difficult are these jobs?
I also want to remove the hood stripes. Has anyone done this and how have others done it?

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a nice MINI, but MINIacs need to see pics. Good luck and remember to wave.

 

Here is a link to all the How to's https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ms/how-to-339/. Removing the stripes is pretty easy. Just get a hair dryer and heat them up on one corner and slowly pull them up using the hair dryer as you go. Depending on how good the paint is it might leave some ghost stripes behind. Good luck.

You could also plastidip everything for under $20.00.
