Another SF Clubman

Hi all, just got a 2013 "justa" clubman. Sort of having non-s buyers remorse...but love the car just the same.

Anyone who wants to make me feel better about not getting an S...I'd like that.

All you've gotta do is look around a bit here on NAM to feel good about passing on the S: All the threads about carbon build up, catch cans, high pressure fuel pumps, intercoolers, premium gas, leaky turbo oil lines, melting hood scoops -- those are all S issues.

You can feel good about having a car that's going to be more reliable, cheaper to drive and insure, and just as much fun as everyone else. Welcome aboard - you're gonna love it!

Here's the thing, and I say this as a THREE time S buyer: in the city, what's the difference? MAYBE on Gough or a few similar climbs. But in general, the Justa still feels rad zipping around just the same!!!

I was given a stick-shift Cooper Coupe for a loaner today, and now I'm kinda wondering why I was so sure I had to buy an S . . .

Drove a Justa at MINI's Throw Down event last summer, and loved it.

As noted, the S adds a bunch of turbo complexity for infrequently used power. You'll avoid that complexity, and still drive an incredible joy-inducing vehicle.

Happy motoring!

Non S Clubman

I have enjoyed my Justa Clubman and like not having to use premium fuel, I used the middle grade here in Illinois and have had no problems with over 32,000 miles and averaging 35.6 mpg with automatic.

I too worried about having a Turbo in that Turbos are like engine accessories,(alternators, fuel pumps etc) and normally do not last as long as the Engines.

When you see a Turbo S, just remember, the hood scoop in non-functional and they do not have a spare tire.
