new guy from GA
I decided to join after looking around and reading different threads, trying to get some advice. I should have my 2004 Electric blue MCS in probably a week or two, depending on shipping.
On to my car, but i dont have any pictures yet
, my step mom isnt exaclty tech savy so she doesnt know how to do it. Anyways on to the story. My dad bout this car brand new back in 2004. I was actually the first one to drive it off the lot. Ever since the day he got it i was hoping one day i would be lucky enough to own it. Well my opportunity came in a way i really didnt want it to. My father passed away a couple months ago and my step mom wanted to sell the car. I told her no way she was doing that. I would buy it from her. It has been about 5 months since his passing and i asked her multiple times about a price. Never have gotten one.
Anyways sorry for long, boring story, but i told her I would drive it from OH back to GA. Thats when she started telling me about some current problems on it.
It is leaking coolant somewhere onto the ground, and she doesnt exactly know where its coming from. The battery is dead/dying. The seats are a little worn out and there is a dent on the drivers door. That happened from a family friend backing into the car. She said she would call the mechanic this week and get a list of what he recommend that my dad probably did not replace.
There are some good tho, i know they had the motor rebuilt last year due to low compression.
Instead of driving i told her i was just going to have the car shipped via a transport company. Hopefully this week i can get her to agree on something so i can set up shipping for this weekend and have the car no later than Sunday.
Then i can dig into it and figure out exactly what i am looking at.
Again sorry for the long first post, i just wanted to introduce my self and looking forward to being part of the community.
BTW my name is Cooper S.

Welcome aboard. Sorry about dad. Sorry your step monster is not being very helpful.
Maybe when you know all the things wrong and you have it in your possession we here at NAM can help you out. Keep your head up and good luck.

Hello from another owner here in GA. So very sorry to hear about the circumstances that lead you to your MCS, but what a great way to live a memory.
May it get here soon, and you enjoy getting it back out on the roads!

Don't apologize for being excited that is a great thing. You'll take care of it all that much more knowing it was your Dad's and obviously he did the best he could to keep it in such great shape for so many years.
There are plenty of people on here that would be glad to give you great and knowledgeable advice to help you out.
Enjoy and Welcome aboard.

Welcome, when you get it down here we can help you with any parts or repairs you need.
Also if you need I've got a guy that moves cars across the country for me all the time and has good prices and is trustworthy if you need help getting it down here.
