Just bought a 'new to me' 2006 mini cooper. has most bells and whistles, including the steering wheel with a whole bunch of buttons, I am interested in in the little button on the left, the little phone, I have been told I need a 'kit' or something, can someone tell me how I can hook this up?

 

There is an OEM "kit" but as I recall, it's pricey - like over a grand. Parrot makes a retrofit kit that activates the button for around $300. Sorry for the sketchy info. it should get you started.
