Interested in buying a mini?
Hi I am interested in purchasing a mini Cooper or the first time. I'm looking at my buddy's 2005 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works Package. What are your thought on this vehicle with 26,000 miles? How is the longevity on the engines? Thanks!
Search through the forums for posts on what to look for, there are many items.
2005/2006 were the best years for 1st gen minis and that is good mileage for the age of the car. Check to see if the JCW tuning kit have proper documentation and serial number.
My engine is almost at 111,000 miles and just being a regular S with some mods it still pulls great and runs well. As long as your friend took good car of the car, you should be in good shape.
