New Mini owner: 2006 JCW Competition Edition

Hi!

So I just purchased my first car, first manual car and obviously first Mini. I am very happy to own my JCW Competition Edition #59 and enjoy what so far has shown to be a very fun and enjoyable ride.

The car is still in its 'as purchased' state with everything stock bar the Enkei RZ-5s wrapped in Bridgestone RE760s.

Here is a phone picture, but I plan on sharing better shots once I take them.

Update

First off thanks for the kind words. I have not done much leisure driving nor have I taken it out for a proper photo shoot, but here are some more pics.

I have been taking it every day to and from work (20km round trip highway and city mix) so I am getting the hang of the swapping gears myself. I can see the appeal, sure it can be a chore around town, but the responsiveness alone is worth the extra concentration.

I have noticed a few issues with my car that you guys may or may not be able to help me with.

First off the sunroof (I think) whistles at around 115kmh, and when it rains I noticed the backseat has water on it. But its for sure dry when parked. Does that even make sense? Loose seal?

Second, the outdoor temperature gauge is fully out of wack, I checked out a few threads and it seems to be a common issue requiring a change in sensor.

Third and most interesting, the horn does not work nor has it worked at all since I got it. But I did hear a faint sound the other day for the first time. Any clue how I could go about it, I have previously checked the fuse and taken off the front clip to have a look at it but drew a blank after that.

Thanks for any and all input, more updates to follow...
