Hey to all of us impatient goons who ordered a car in August...maybe I'm just not paying attention (and I promise I did a search), was just made aware of a longshoremans' strike that could very well shut down all incoming traffic to the east coast...soon. Like, "by the end of September." I figured everybody would just be sent through Panama and trucked east. Nope. They're going to shut that down too.

I don't know much about cargo and shipping, but doesn't a lot of our, um, FOOD come from across the ocean? Not to mention other non-food types of livelihood?

Think of all the iPhones that might not get shipped. You think WE'RE a bunch of impatient fanatics? I hope none of you have also ordered an iPhone.

I wonder if you kids who are already on the water will be turned away. (I know, I'll probably be banned from the forum for even thinking that.)

Do you have a link to any info about that? iPhones tend to be shipped by air, so probably wouldn't be affected. Now iMacs probably go by boat.
