We just picked up a 2009 R55!!!!!
Midnight black metallic. single sunroof (aftermarket?), heated seats, folding mirrors, AT, cruise, black/gray leatherette, BT, audio jack. It has some scratches, it has had front left damage reported. Repair looks ok. (Carfax) I looked at the car on the rack, sniffed a few things, test drive, wonderful! I feel like we got a good price.
I saw this car pop up as a base model with manual tranny. It was listed at 4k less than anybody else so I thought it was a salvage, but no.
Immediately, we went to the non- mini (Chevy) dealership.
Closed the deal yesterday

Interesting how you got the lower than expected price at a non-MINI dealer. I have noticed that to be the case on numerous occasions. When I looked at used MINIs they were cheaper at big dealers (particularity American car makers) -- one would think that they would know the relative value.

I have a cigar buddy who gets cars at the auction, I'll have to ask him to take note of prices.
