Bought a 2008 Mini Cooper S on June 4th, 2012 and it is in the process of being built for the Sports Car Club of America Solo (aka autocross). It will be built to D Stock class rules, so not a ton of modifications (not yet at least).

It is also doing the daily driver duties as well.

So far I could not be happier. The car has been in the shop a couple times to get the common Mini issues taken care of, but other than those items I love it.

It is the newest car in the race team that I put together.
Dare 2 Dream Motorsports is the name of the team. More info can be had on the name is wanted, but it could take a while for me to type that so I will wait to see if anyone wants to know before I type that.

I also have a 1988 BMW 325iS that I just retired from SCCA Solo and will now be doing SCCA Rallycross with it. RallyX is pretty much autocross on dirt/ grass.

Dare 2 Dream Motorsports will also be venturing into Time Attack/ Time Trials with the Mini next year or possibly a new car, not 100% sure yet. I am located in the Kansas City, KS area and race with the Kansas City Region SCCA. I travel to about 25 races each year from Regional races, Divisional races and National races some all the way out to 700-800 miles away. I was just in Toledo, OH on July 27th-29th for a National race.

Anyway, thought I would introduce myself and the race team. You will probably see me around quite a bit asking questions and just getting to know the NAM group.
