Went to a Kia dealer up in Gaithersburg Maryland this morning. They had a mini that they couldn't sell and was 2 days away from going to auction. The car was in great shape with only 40k on it. 2008 Mini Cooper S. She is beautiful. I went up there with no intention of making the purchase but the car was just in to good of shape and to good of a deal to pass up!! I am in love with it. Its not quite as quick as my old 98 wrx but it sure handles like a dream and the gearbox is buttery smooth! I can not wait to get into seeing what first mods and things there are out there.

Here she is. What do you guys think ?

May have been owned by a MINI enthusiast.... Driving lights and appears the egg yolks on the side scuttles have been removed.

First thing I'd do is replace those OEM wheels (never cared for that wheel). Ok... second thing. First would be to go at it with my assorment of polishes, clay bar, and other detailing stuff.

BTW... Be sure to join DC Metro MINIs. You'll have a blast.

Not a fan of the wheels either I was thinking something maybe bronze would look nice with this color. What are the Egg yoke scuttles? Sorry new to the minis

 

The yellow lenses in the side markers which are just in front of the side mirrors. You can repace them with a white/clear lense and orange bulb.
