Mini in WA
I just bought my first Mini from Seattle Mini up on Lake City. Its a 2009 MCSa judging by the lingo. Laser blue, with all the options I wanted except the wheels, which I guess aren't too bad.
One thing that is bad is the stereo, holy cow is it terrible. I've been reading the threads where you tuck the HU up behind the speedo, but I don't know if I want to go that far. I've always had crazy stereos in my vehicles, but I hope to keep this one tame. I'm thinking of a 4 channel amp, run off the front speaker level outs from the stock deck. New components in the doors of channels 1/2, with 3/4 bridged to a nice 8" or 10" sub.
Anyway, here are a few pics, not like you haven't seen a Mini before. Any fun Mini clubs in the area?

Welcome to a fellow laser blue owner! It is a nice looking MINI! Sorta like one near and dear to my heart!

There are a lot of threads here about improving the base stereo in MINI's, the search function will yield a lot of good information.
We are lucky here in Washington state to have two MINI clubs.
Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club.

and
Salish Sea Mini Motoring Club

I joined both, I hope to see you at a meet.

Congratulations from a fellow Washingtonian.
The base stereo (as well as the upgraded one) are pretty bad in the early years of the Gen 2 MINI. I added a sub, but the stock speakers still sound a bit like a transistor radio... if you're old enough to have heard one.
