Just saying hey from the MIA
Hey everyone. Just thought I would make a little intro as I will be lurking around with hopefully a mini purchase in the future (I'll get to that in a second). Prepare for a long intro so if you don't want to read it its ok haha.
I've been in the Lexus scene for a while and had an IS300 which came to a premature end due to some stupidity of mine (). I commute to college and live with my parents so they got me that car. I wrecked it due to being rwd and the rear slipping out. Not only will they not purchase another car for me (which is understandable), they do not want me to get another rwd car (also understandable). I won't be doing anything stupid with my next car as I don't want a repeat of what has already happened The regular cooper hardtop seems to suit my needs perfectly. On a side note, I will be taking a BMW driving course with my girlfriend to better improve my driving abilities for the future. I will be saving up for a mini with my current job which might take a while (6mo-1yr) but I'll get there.
So enough of my past, now onto my future I recently started heavily looking into Mini's as my next car purchase after a recent test drive. My girlfriend just ordered a mini and I have fallen for them (I enticed her to join the forums and she will also be making an introduction when she takes delivery or something). We had gone to a mini test drive takedown event and I got to get behind the wheel of the new mini cooper coupe S and I fell in love. The regular mini cooper felt pretty similar in terms of handling and the power is good enough for me as I won't be doing anything stupid with it (I want this thing to last). I will probably be getting a 05-06 r53 or maybe a early r56 if I can find one in my price range.
See everyone around and I'll post up again when I get my mini
