My New MINI!
My New MINI!
Greetings!
I just recently acquired my first MINI! It's a 2009 Clubman S. I just picked it up last weekend and am already in love with it!
Better pics to follow, but this is what it looks like:

And here's what I used to have ->

Compared to the 335i, the MINI actually handles a bit better and has slightly less power, but close enough. The MINI falls short in ride quality / cabin noise / sound system, but it has more usable room and is more comfortable than I thought it would be. Best part is the MINI saves me over $150 / mth in car payment, has 50k+ fewer miles and should save me close to $100 / mth in gas.
Now on to the upgrades! First thing to fix is the sound system! Gotta have good sound to go Motorin'

I'm definitely enjoying my Clubbie so far! I bought it in KC and drove it home to MKE on Sunday. After hearing all the stories about how bad MINIs ride, I was pleasantly surprised on my 9+ hour drive home on how it did on a longer highway run. I was never aching or needing to stop, and mine has 17" wheels with the RFT's still.
As a bonus, it's WAF (in my case GAF) is way higher than the Bimmer. My GF likes it so much that I best keep an eye on it lest she "borrow" it

Good call on the name! First I'll have to drive it a few more days and decide if it's male or female...
Thanks!

Mine came with chrome 16"RF's. Recently swapped out Rf's and Rims for 17" DWS Conti's and black Enkei EDR9's. The ride is much less jarring now, and i LOVE my black rims!!!! Have fun with "him, her"! Let us know what you name her and post on thread "Does your Mini have a name?"

Definitely diggin the black rims on my Clubbie, too! It was one of the reasons I went with this particular car. They seem to be a lot easier to clean, too! Brake dust just kinda "blends in".
I'm going to need to buy tires for it before old man winter returns here in MKE. The original Conti RFT's have about 5/32 left. How do you like the Conti DWS? They were a tire I was strongly considering as a replacement.

Thanks for your kind words! I'm looking forward to a very positive long term relationship with my Clubbie!
