The car is alerting you that ice could begin to form on bridges and roads. Check out the manual for other fun, neat gizmos that the car has.

+1 for uncl3. Indicates 37 degrees or so and possible snow or ice present. I live down in lower Alabama and one day it was right about 40 out and I had just washed my car and mine displayed it. Freaked me out until I found out what it was. Like we really get ice and snow here. LOL

In the amount of time you signed-up on NAM and posted your question, you could have checked your manual or downloaded one online to find the answer... Oh well.

Well, some of us don't even have our cars yet and are here picking up tips. So I'm glad to see that the Mini has this feature.

Good, now I can go back to worrying about the cup holders....

Good one. I think some people have bought used Mini's and may not have a manual so this is a good place to post questions. Hell, even the manual is pretty skimpy. I know I've learned a ton on here and will continue to do so.

Cup holders? Well, those are just one of those little things you have to get used to. You won't be able to put one of those gallan jugs in 'em that's for sure. LOL

The manual doesn't even tell how much oil the crankcase holds. Who would guess that the idiot light symbols are listed?

Me too, and I read it twice, whiling away the hours before taking delivery.

Yellow snow light...sounds like a warning to "watch out where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow".

Where can we download the manual from? I tried searching but ended up back in the miniusa site, which doesn't make it easy to find, um, anything.

Yeah, the cup-holder situation is amusing. Apparently the center armrest has a life of its own, and I did order one. We'll see. I also got the manual air conditioner. Seeing as the heating system has died in every car I've owned, I thought maybe simple might be better. Oh well. I can't do anything about it now.

It's another way of asking how much power they use. I have no answer, but assume it's a low number because LEDs are very efficient.

Check response 16 "above". If the year/model you need is not there...sorry; and the 2011 Hardtop manual is enough like 2012 to be of service (don't know about the other models).
