The mini I bought a month ago is making some pretty disoncerting noises.
From researching I've determined it's probably the water pump drive at the back of the supercharger('05 S model).Also had oily residue on the intake side of the original air filter. Bought it from a Honda dealer that offes a 60 day "worry free" warranty. I'll see how far that goes, and I'll let you know the outcome.

 

Good luck, i purchased my mini from a Dodge dealer they had a 90 day warranty or 1k miles. I already hit the 1k miles haha. I took it back because of a weird noise then i found out that weird noise was just an aftermarket intake. Good luck

 

I bought mine from a dodge dealer with a 30 day warranty (and extended I paid for).

I hope the OP's ride checks out. if not, you could try to get an extended before they exclude whatever the problem is. Good luck!
