This would make a good track car project . If only I hadnt just bought the ViPEC ecu for my r53. GLWS. I would say that is a good deal.

I am sort of in the same boat with my 2002 Mini Cooper S. It was such a great car for many years but things just started to fall apart...

I brought it to a mechanic and he couldn't figure out why the battery was being drained every couple of days... and it has an overheating issue that he says is most likely a blown head gasket. Do you have any idea how much a repair like this would cost? I think at the end of the day he didn't want to do the repair. I am picking it up from his shop on Friday after the car had spent months there.

Did you just not feel like it was worth putting all that money into your car and is why you gave it up? I am so torn and not sure what I want to do. Also considering bringing it in to a dealership.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
