Newbie...but soon to be an ex MINI owner. My heart is breaking...

Say it isn't so! The time has come that I can no longer justify keeping my love...my MINI Cooper S Convertible. Funny time to join this forum. I've been lurking for years. Perhaps it's just me trying to hold on in some way.

When we had our first baby my husband said I should put her up for sale. I just couldn't do it. Then when I was pregnant with number 2 I rarely felt like driving her and ended up driving my husbands car instead. Now with 2 kids I want to drive her but never get to (as I don't take the kids in her).

In order to help me to finally sell her I went shopping for a new car to try to ease the pain. I bought a 2011 BMW X3. Lovely car but it's still no MINI! Boy did that fail miserably!

Well here I am now actually posting her for sale. It's painful but I can't justify keeping her, especially seeing her sit there and never be driven! Someday I hope to be a MINI owner/driver again....

Um, last I checked 4 people can fit in a MINI. It's even better if two of them are kids. With our MINIs and one kid, we've learned to pack light and pack smart- a valuable skill. How old are your kids? Once they can climb into their own seat, just flip the one forward. For the actual baby, just get the kind of car seat that has a detachable base. Connect it to the latch system in the back seat and it's easy to snap the seat into the base.

Even in convertible form, the MINI is still a safe car.

Hope you can stick around. You don't smile when you see another BMW, do you?

Val

I cannot get 4 people in mine. I am fairly tall, so I have the drivers seat pushed back. Even a small child cannot get their legs down behind the drivers seat. For me its a 3 person car max.

A Cooper will be calling your name when the kids are grown!
