Themis Leader just moored in at Port Hueneme our babys are being unloaded soon, *whew* they made the trip.

Now to wait the uninformative length of time from doc to VDC to truck to dealer! ARGH this will be the hardest wait, I don't pick mine up until October 11th!

That is rough. My dealer is in Tacoma, WA and the earliest pick-up date I could have done is today, exactly a week after the Toscana docked (they got the car on Sunday but had to dealer prep it, which apparently takes them 4 days?!).

 

My MA told me it is possible to get mine next thurs. No promises, but possible.....

So do you have your car yet?
I live about 300 miles from my MA, means I have to arrange a lift up to dealership, and all the logistics of getting there, so we have a time of the 11th to pickup, well over a week away from today. MA said no problem at all for that day.

@Milke154 I went to marinetraffic.com and turned on satellite view and zoomed way in. I wish it was realtime satellite so we could see the actual ship, but google earth only updates like once a year for the satellite images. Still looks cool anyways.

 

Mine has to make the long trip from port to Colorado - MA said potentially 2 weeks - sometimes quicker - sometimes slower.

What mini did you order?

I'm also in Colorado, waiting for my boat to dock in Port Hueneme on Oct. 4th. I ordered a Countryman on Aug. 2, Finished Production Aug, 27th. At the port on Aug. 31st. Caught the Boat Sept. 14th.

I would be interested to know how long it takes you to get your mini from Port Hueneme to Denver. If you ordered a Countryman, I would like to know if your belt line chrome trim is the fixed trim without the peeling problem. Some say that the 2012 has the new trim others say not and some say it is being changed at the VDC.

 

Hi - I ordered a Clubman S, so no idea on the Countryman trim. The MA at Ralph Schomp said typically he's seen them get off the boat and arrive in Colorado in 2 weeks, but he mentioned it varies on the VDC and how quick a truck picks the cars up. He said he has 4 other orders besides mine he sold that are the same ship so it should be a pretty full truck.

 

OK, thanks. My MA at Ralph Schomp said 1 -2 weeks after arrival at VDC. I saw another Coloradan that received his mini 1 week of arrival at VDC. He was in Loveland.

mines was on Toscana 9/21 and i still don't have it.
my MA just informed me it's still at the port waiting to get the stripes on.
now i'm regretting getting that option!

 

For All of the THEMIS LEADER folks ... I just received a call from my MA...My Clubman s Hampton was released from the VDC and ready for truck. ETA TUESDAY ................YA HOO. I HOPE I can post Pictures on WED.......Good Luck to All my MINI Folks

 

YAY! I hope my baby is on a truck too now My dealer guy is on vacation until tuesday so I cant get an update until then augh :(

But I'm hoping since yours is on the truck that mine is too. Want pics when you get yours!

 

I logged in on owners lounge and the section for Tracking my mini is gone ... just when it would be the only thing to give me info I'm so bummed.

Can anyone else see it? Or since they got deliverd to the VDC it goes away?
Called my dealership and they didnt know jack... so Im without any info on where my baby is now. I hope she is on a truck up I-5 but have no idea...

Oh and to make it even more entertaining, the ask mini phone line says she is at port awaiting a ship! Which I know is false since the WW site tells me my VIN has been delivered.

The online owners lounge for mine is showing at VDC with anticipated delivery of today ... apparently it can travel from CA to CO in minutes ...
but when I call the 1-866 number it says its enroute to the VDC.
MA says its at the VDC and should get on a truck today - maybe early next week delivery.

 

YEAH!!! My car arrived at dealership today! They are going to install the stripes and roof graphics, and I will pick her up in a week!!!! AAHHHHHH cant wait! Im trying to restrain myself from driving there now lol

 

My clubman is officially at the dealer - MA called me this afternoon and said a truck full of Mini's just pulled up and he confirmed mine was one of the ones on it. They are going to do their pre-delivery inspection and potentially I should be able to pick it up this Saturday. Pictures will follow if it happens.

 

It's going to take a week to put on roof graphics and stripes?

I see you're from Yachats, and will pick yours up soon. Did you order through Rasmussen in Ptld? I'm in Salem. My CM arrived in Pt. Hueneme Aug. 21 and my MA told me today that they just released it for delivery to Portland. Two weeks seems like a long time in the distribution center, most seem to be there for just a few days or a week. I ordered it in May.

PETERY .. I Paid the Price had the Tint done at the dealers $395. BUT its lifetime ..They say anything goes wrong they will take care of it ???

 

Hi Ray, I just picked my car up yesterday from Rasmussen in Portland, and mine was only at the VDC for two days. Who is your MA? Mine was John Young, and he was terrific. They got a ton of cars into the dealership in the last few weeks, you should see if yours is there yet.
