Hey I am currently shopping for an 07 or newer mini for my wife. We are looking in to getting a convertible S model. As I shop are there any model years that we just want to stay away from or have issues that we need to know about? We are very excited to find a new car b/c we are moving from a van!

 

07 to 10 all face the tensioner failure problem. I think there are issues with the fuel pumps as well. Just have a knowledgeable mechanic give it a look-over before you buy.
