Seriously? The antenna, that's the best suggestion all the experienced Mini Owners out here can come up with? Don't take it personal, but I don't think that was the original intent of the question and subject matter. Is it important, sure - and yes, I changed mine shortly after purchase as well - but let's move on shall we? There really has to be something more specific that can be suggested. Just MHO.

I think most of the "biggies" have been covered, as far as popular & useful mod/accessories. I would have suggested a Whalen shift ****, but OP has an automatic. Maybe a glove box organizer or a nice trash receptacle to hang off the back of the passenger seat? I have one of the "High Road" brand leak-proof ones (you can find them on eBay) and really like it. Waterproof, holds a TON and snaps shut.

I've found the windblocker to be a great accessory, and it really works

I had never heard of them before, but between ducking down to see the light, or putting my head up to see it out the sunroof, I was getting annoyed. Fantastic, I ordered it as soon as I saw what it was/did, cannot wait for it to arrive! Thanks!!!

Hmmmm.... maybe the antenna REALLY is for remote control and that is why removal of it has no effect on the radio's reception! Think about it...

I found that the AM reception goes to crap when I take the long antennae off.
