Midlands and 2nd gen getrag interchangeable?

Midlands and 2nd gen getrag interchangeable?
Odd question, but I am looking at a 2010 6 spd manual (and engine) from a rear collision donor for stupid cheap. I would put it on the stand till money or situation arose to do it.
Does anyone know if a 5 spd midlands could be swapped with a 2010 cooper cabrio 6 speed getrag?
This is in perspective of vs. a total replacement with 1st gen 5 spd tranny
