Front strut tower

Hi! I am new to this forum. I am getting my daughter's 2007 Mini Cooper S. She has a front strut tower in the front and chassis brace on the back. She was going to take them off for me, but, her ex lost the engine plates. My questios are- are the plates necessary for the integrety of the car and if they are, must I keep the back chassis brace on? Or can that come off. I apologize it I am not making myself clear as this is all new to me.

First off, welcome aboard.

A couple of pictures would go a long way to clearing up any question about what and where you are talking about.

The "engine plates" thing has me a little confused.

Chassis brace and tower struts

http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/index.php?cPath=7_10 This site has pictures of the M7 rear chassis brace and M7 R56 strut tower brace. It's on M7tuning.com. This is information from my daughter as I do not have the car in my posession yet. It is a 2007 mini S. I found it in suspension tuning

If you just have a strut tower brace on the front all you need to do is remove the bar and reinstall the nuts for the upper strut mounts.

In the rear you can just remove it.
