My MC had one when I got it off the lot. I believe it's the only "extra" option my car has But, I am glad I have it, I find my arm on it all the time when driving. If you have an adult in the back seat, you can use their knee

Look in on the NAM Marketplace.
Have been quite a few of them for sale.

Im with you on wanting an armrest. You can get an oem model at amazon for a fraction of the dealer price but how to install it is my problem.

If it's the after-market one that the dealer installs, it's a piece of cake to install. You have to remove the inside bolts (front and rear) that anchor the seat rails to the floor, slide the base of the armrest under the seat rails and tighten the bolts again. I had to remove mine this weekend as part of the pocess to swap out the E-brake and shifter boots.

Think I can handle that. Thanks. Indecently, I posted on another thread about a strange sound I'm hearing from my MCSs engine that sounds like a faint dentists drill when I hit around 2500-3000 rpm. Any idea what that could be? Can it be turbo whine or something more sinister?

The armrest was a piece of cake. Removing the center console was another thing!

Yeah, I saw your other post. I'm guessing that what you're hearing is the turbo spooling up and noting more. If you're feeling the pull at the same time that you hear the noise then that's the turbo. But don't take my word for it, a quick visit to the service department should relieve the stress.

That's good advice, thanks. I have contacted the dealer and will bring it in but the anxiety was getting to me considering some of the horror stories out there.

Thanks again.
