New Owner - Cooper S JCW

Add me to the list!

Picked up an '04 S JCW with the aero kit this past Tuesday. I've been shopping for the past 9-years and this is the car I should have ordered from the start!

From the minute I saw the concept of the "new" mini I had to have one, but the wife wasn't sold, so I deferred. A couple of years ago I thought I had one bought, but the owner sold it out from under me the night before I was to pick it up. Man was I mad. After going through numerous other cars I had decided to buy a Civic SI for my next mount, but after driving one (not even making it off the lot) I turned around and decided to take another look at a Mini. The wife was still not cracked on a Mini, but... She has warmed up a little --- our 1 year old son is named Cooper.

After looking for less than 24-hours I found my dream Mini, at a good price, within a 4-hour drive, so I went and bought it. Couldn't believe it!

The only problem I'm having now is I justified it with the fuel economy argument, but I can't stop driving it! If I was single, I probably would have stopped driving it around Jacksonville Florida .

Hope to see some of you around the Indianapolis area.

Anyone have an independent mechanic/shop they like to use in central Indiana?

Congrats on the '04 MINI S JCW!

Keep looking around these forums for the MINI clubs near you, as they'll probably have a few ideas for mechanics near you.

Enjoy!

I adore my '04 Works car, and it has treated me well for 156k miles so far - hope yours does as well.

Kind regards,

Charlie

Ps: You do realize that you are only holding the car in trust for your son, right? Better not run the mileage up too high...

So when will you be back in Indy? I would like to meet up to discuss some things.

Welcome to the '04 JCW Club (if there is such a club)! If your experience is anything like mine has been, the big stupid grin on your face will never disappear.
