My car seems to be setup so that when I drive, the headlights are perpetually on; do you keep your's like this or did you disengage? If so, how did you do it?

 

There is a setup option for Daytime Running Lights in the OBC. There are many other options to set as well. Instructions are in your owners manual. Be sure to program both keys to the settings wanted for each driver.

FYI- Unless it is changed for '11, for MINI DRL means headlights on full power and tail lights on all the time as well. Most DRL systems on other cars have only the headlights on and at dimmed output.
