Dumb question, is that the week you are expecting the car to be finished or started?

 

how are u guys all getting week 21? i placed my order today and got week 19...i dont get it..

 

Info given by dealer and confirmed by "Ask-Mini". I suspect it has to do with when a dealer has a 'slot' available in the production line and also, my guess is they run 'like' models through the line together??

Hmm, I am actually expecting my car to enter production this week, next week at the latest.

 

According to 'Ask Mini', the production date is the date of completion not the start.

 

Anyone have any updates, looks like all us JCW people ordered around the same time so you would think we would go into production around the same time.

 

Called AskMini yesterday and a spoke with a live person and they said I'm in production. Today the automated system says the same with a estimated completion date of 5/11.

 

Mine is still saying on order. I swear if I miss the production for this month I am just going to cancel my order.

 

You may be a day or two behind me....If you call AskMini and speak to a live person they may have more info....

 

Trust me I have, and will continue to do so. I am just a little worried that mine won't be built this month. I figure if it has not started production by next week that means I missed the builds this month, which would be beyond frustrating

 

My status has not changed, but my order was not placed until 4/29. I think it has more to do with when each individual dealer has a production slot available than anything else.

 

Still has not entered production, losing hope that it will this month.

 

Ordered a JCW PW/Chili top/mirrors on 5/9. Given production week 25. Received e-mail from dealership (Tom Bush MINI--Jax,FL) today advising production changed to week 21! So it appears that the factory will produce JCWs during week 21.

As for delays in getting production scheduled, it often has something to do with the numbers of MINIs sold by the dealership. The higher volume dealers get more production allocations and once they enter a sold vehicle it moves up in the scheduling priority. That is my take and I am sticking with it. Nick

 

Congrats on the order, I still don't have a production week, any ma can't seem to give me a straight answer on anything. What options did you get?

 

I thinks you're right... all JCW's will go through together! Now the 64k question is how many are there and will they all go through in one week, two, more?? We'll find out soon, here's hoping we all go through in tandem-and soon, so the anxiety will ease.

I just talked to the sales manager at the dealership I ordered from, he told my he could not even gurantee my order would be built next month. He said more than likely not until 2012 models are out. He said it was the connect with nav that was holding it from production. I told him that wouldn't work for me, already waisted a month of my life waiting for this car to be built. I canceled the order and they will be refunding my deposit. He said that he has had several people cancel their orders already and I was the second JCW person today.

I tried to buy a mini, but looks like it wasn't in the cards for me. Sad thing is I don't know what I am going to do now.

 

Received an e-mail from my MA. My JCW entered production at 0725 GMT on 5/12. Should have VIN on Tuesday. If production week is when the car is completed, I am on track to be completed by 5/22--Production week 21! Much quicker than I expected. Again, ordered on 5/9!

 

Looks like I've been moved back to Week 22 so I'm heading over to that support group. Good luck everyone!
