well here i am
i joined the cooper club a couple days ago. gas prices forced me to trade in my 06 mustang gt, for something more economical. 115hp is a FAR cry from 300
but the 30mpg is a far cry from the 14. i dont love the mini yet, but i do like it. i know absolutely nothing about them and am looking forward to learning.

Welcome to the club! I came from a CBR600 so I know how you feel about the huge drop in power to weight ratio.. but I love the Cooper now and you probably will too. Post up some pictures of your new ride!
There are a ton of people here who can suggest mods and improvements to make your car perform a little better. It will never haul *** in a straight line like a V8, but with some minor upgrades it can be just as fun.

Ditto what Danny said. You can do an awfully lot with a MINI and will give you great rewards. Hang in there, read lots of posts, and you will begin to get an idea of what you have to work with.
