Avid Autocrosser - New to MINI
Uh, this car is incredible. My friend said he could feel the LSD doing it's thing on a fun run. I ran every lap with the ASC turned fully off and in Sport mode. It was a learning curve, but I think I climbed it pretty quickly. I know for sure I need tires; a rear sway bar maybe, but I'd rather get tires first because then I can still stay in DS. I ended up taking 4th place out of a very competitive Tire Indexed class, only losing to a '95 Miata, 370Z, and one other car that I do not remember (results are not posted online yet). I also met a lot of really cool people, and got a lot of awesome advice about the MINI itself.
This is one MEAN autocrossing machine. It's a point-and-shoot race car; point the nose in the direction you want to go, and pull the skinny trigger on the far right of all the pedals.
I'm waiting on the shots from the club's "official" photographer, but for now, here's a MINI during a morning magic hour:

Glad you enjoyed your day. Great pic.
Here's one inexpensive mod you may find useful.

Here are the shots from the club's photog. I can never thank him enough; his shots are epic! Watch my MINI be the first car to cross the starting line in the 2011 FCSCC season! (no pressure or anything)

Of course, I have to repay the favor, because Said never gets pictures of his car taken since he's either behind the camera or behind the wheel. So here's some shots of his MCS! Not as good as his are of mine, but I'm certainly giving it my best!

Well, lots of change in the past few months. My MINI took a backseat as my parents and I experienced a house-fire and worried more about rebuilding that, and my autocross career rather derailed. Additionally, I've gotten more into photography.
However, the time came to get new rotors for my car, and I decided to also finally get the boost gauge I've been wanting for a very long time. There will also be a Shorty Antenna on the way, in the same box from Craven Speed. That, and with the weather getting warmer make me excited as I can put my Star Specs back on the car! Looking forward to going cruising soon with my buddy, who just bought himself a 2004 R53 in BRG!

Everybody got out safe, as did the family cat. My fish didn't fare so well, but that's life. It was back in 2011, and by now, we've been in our rebuilt house for just over six months!
I dunno if its your car or not, haha. He bought it from a non-affiliated dealer in Waterbury. Green with green roof, black leather interior. 17" 5-spoke wheels.

Craven Boost Gauge going in tomorrow. Branden is coming over here to help, also to wash his car and do an oil change. Can't wait to hear how his car sounds with the new Alta intake!
