Well hello there
Well hello there
After cutting 15 car choices down to three, and then loosing much sleep, there was only one left standing, an all chili red JCW mini 2011! I'll post pictures when I get them. I'm really looking forward to breaking this sucker in and then getting back into autoX Cstock and eventually STX here I come!
Welcome and Congrats, Maltese. Would love to hear about your choices, especially what your other 2 contenders were and why you didn't choose one of them.
So are you going to name your MINI Falcon?
Pics, please.

I'll have pictures up when I get some time. Work has been slamming me recently, so I lack time to do anything.
The last 2 contenders were FR cars, the Ford Mustang GT and the Hyundai Genesis coupe. The Mustang bit the dust because of pricing issues. I couldn't get one built out the way I would want it, without breaking the bank. In addition, to the cost, I didn't like the fact that the mustang had less room than the mini at 2.5 times the size. However, a well built american v8 does sound nice!
The genesis coupe lost out because of inventory issues. The only ones I could find with 6 spd manual were the Track version, and quite frankly I didn't want the crazy leather seats, the nav system ect. I just wanted a fun agile comfortable car. The other issue was that the gear box left something to be desired. The Hyundai took more effort to shift than it should have. However, the fit and finish is glorious. To get a car with interior that nice, you would be spending at least 55k
So, the mini won because it was practical, the JCW is plenty fast (i prefer a lighter car than a high HP one), super fun, good gas mileage, and the financing deal right now is EPIC!

Congratulations on the new car.... JCW, nice!
Good luck with the Autocross. I run Dstock, street tire. Lots of fun! I'm so glad the season has begun. It has been a long winter.
