Hi everyone, glad to be here. I have a 04 mini. Red with black top. 123000 miles on it. I bought it new and plan to keep it forever and as you can guess it is starting to have little things go wrong with it. I do the work myself or I wouldn't be able to afford it. So far I've replaced the fuel pump, belt tightner, hatch lift struts. Right now my gas cap light keeps popping on and off. I replaced the cap-to no avail. Also the driver side door won't unlatch from the inside and won't lock with the key lock button or the inside switch. Other than these few things its been a good car. I hope with all your help I can keeper running till at least 250000 miles

It sounds like your drivers door lock actuator has gone bad.
