alternative repair shops

A look over at the dealer found several problems with my 02 mini. I was shocked with the price quotes. For example, replace power steering pump, $1126; water pump,$1088; replace lower control arm bushings, $635; replacing both leaking trans. output shaft seals, $589. Does anyone recommend a shop in the Tacoma,Wa. area who are good and reasonable?

Here's a list of independent shops that we've been collecting over the years. If you search the Washington state section, you will find a large number of shops in the Seattle area. Can't vouch on the shops in your area but it may be a start--good luck.
