I just joined so I guess I should introduce my self. We have a left hand drive John Cooper Works, titled as a 79. Perfect car, just love it. I am currently working on a fun car. A 71 body, 7 enterprizes is building a 1380 short block for me, I have a cross flow head and port fuel injection coming from MED, and a 5 spd straight cut gear box coming for it with a finial ratio of 3.7. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I put this together.
Here's a picture of out 79.

One question, with about 150 hp on tap, and looking for the best acceleration I can get, what would be my best wheel/tire combo? 10 or 13 inch?

Very nice looking Mini, for acceleration go with 10"rims however it's going to limit your top speed, but except for lawless types like me that probably doesn't matter.

Thanks guys, so which is wider, for traction. The 165-70-10 or the 175-50-13?
