New owner/used MINI

Hi all.

Name is Rob, I'm semi-crossing over from being an old Quattro guy. That being said, I can see I'm in for more of the same with my new-ish MINI

'05 MCS Blue Metallic w just under 70k

I've already ordered a radiator fan and expansion tank (I've owned the car less than 4 days) and am currently tracking down the cause of a puddles in the driveway.

Wish me luck

Rob

First thing, get the Bentley manual.
It will be the best money spent on a Mini.
Have fun.
Happy motoring.

Possibly the thermostat's gasket.

They can only be purchased from MINI, and they come with a new updated gasket as a kit.

looks like the expansion tank dripping to the heat shield and down to the ground behind the exhaust manifold. huh.

Welcome make sure you check the thermostat, this is really common to leak on the 05+ MINI's.

Also Forge makes an aluminum coolant tank to replace the stock plastic one. The plastic ones leak at the seams.
