Production Week 47 Group

Hi everyone! My MA just told me that I am in the 47th week production group. Anyone else?
I have a BRGII/BLK MCC on order and am hoping for a 2010 delivery.

1-866-ASK-MINI just told me my estimated completion date is Dec. 1, so does that put me in week 47 or 48?

Got VIN today and a completion date of Nov. 30th. Boat headed to CA leaves Dec. 7th and is in CA on the 29th. Not sure if they take my Mini off there or the next port Tacoma on Jan 2nd. Salesmen said they come from CA but that doesn't make much sense if the ship come to Tacoma too. Might just be where there processing and import location is located. Anyone know?

Good stuff. Explains why my Mini unloads in CA and not Tacoma. I figure late Jan delivery now.

My R60 MCS All4 was originally scheduled for production week 45, then it got pushed back to week 45, then pushed back again to week 47.

It's now Week 47 and according the rep at ASK-MINI my Countryman is finally now in Production!!

I have a 24 nov completion date and they said I was week 48. Went into prod. On 17 th. My MA says it's all about timing at Southhamton. You can hit the port just prior to sailing or just after and wait up to 2 weeks for the next launch. I hope to track the ship.

Mine was born yesterday. I hope there is a boat that leaves to CA before the "Island maser" Dec 7th one!

MCS went into production Nov 16th. Website now says awaiting shipment. Expecting to arrive Long Beach port Dec 29, since it just missed the Nov 24 boat.

Just found out that my MCS was delivered to the port on Nov 26, and boarded the ship this morning. Ship just set sail an hour ago, ETA Dec 21 to the Port of CA. Whoo hoo!

Under the wire

I got on the same ship, Cygnus Leader, ETA at Port Hueneme the 21st. That's an unexpected treat. Production just missed the Nov24th departure, and the 2wglobal.com website was not showing anything leaving Southampton for Hueneme until the 7th of December, which would have arrived the 29th, perilously close to 2011. It's only a difference of 8 days, but at least the car has a chance of making it to the dealer here in Socal before Christmas.

Yeah... looks like we'll get it around x-mas, depending on how long it will take to process the vehicle and for it to be trucked to the dealer. Had it gone on the Dec 7 ship, we wouldn't be getting our car until the 1st or 2nd week of Jan.

Where did this boat come from? Not that I am complaining, but it was not on the schedule.

If it was on the Port on the 24th, it probably made it on today's shipment. But it looks like this ship is going straight to California... where are you from?

According to the Itineraries History on http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shi...mmsi=372747000 , it came from Bremerhaven, Germany the 25th. I'm impressed with the amount of real-time data provided on this site.

Apparently auto sales in the last month picked up. My speculation is that BMW had to ramp production to meet that demand, and shipping reacted likewise.

ETA at Manzanillo is listed as the 9th of December. From there, it's only 9 days to Port Hueneme, so could be in by the 18th or 19th, barring congestion at the canal from the holiday season.

Good to know. The sooner the better because my car decided to break down today. Can't wait.

Production is complete and my Countryman is now status 182 en route to POE. Hopeful to hitch a ride to NYPOC on the Fidelio which leaves Bremerhaven on 12/4.

Mine is at the port in Southhampton, so hope to catch a ride on the Fidelio to NYPOC, when it gets to port on the 8th of Dec. Might be shipmates.

If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to me.

It's one of those things in life that's beyond one's control. Look at it this way: in a couple months, none of this will really matter.
