lights, Help Please!

Ok so i just got a 2002 cooper s and my left head-light stopped working. NOT the fog or the high-beam the Hid dr2 bulbs. To make the story short, I tried replacing it with a new one and it doesn't work! I think it may be something with the lighting fixture. BUT the highs and fogs both work on both sides, and of course the headlight works on the right side.

Any suggestions???? please help me

when it comes to the xenon, it's going to be a bulb or a ballast. since you replaced the bulb already and it's still not working, it most likely could be the ballast (also referred to as control unit).

If one headlight is working, it's not the fuse. The ballast is an enclosed unit that would have to be replaced. I don't think the end user can repair them.

I'd also put the old bulb back in. Xenons change in color ever so slight when they age. Replacing only one bulb would make this change very apparent. It would take years to balance out.

Replacing in pairs seems the way to go, as with conventional headlights, which dim as they age.
