Hello from CA

Hi,
I've been lurking here (and at VDUB sites) researching and getting ideas. So far I'm down to a VW GTI or the Mini Cooper, likely the Clubman S.
The scales are tipping toward the Mini!

My partner has a 2009 Cooper S and it's a blast to drive. But it's just a little too small to be my everyday car. The Clubman seems to be an ideal fit.

From some posts I've read it's not too weird to have two Minis in the family, is it?

As long as its not the same color, 2 per household is fine. I met one couple that had 3 of them, I gladly took one off their hands and they turned around and bought a Clubman, so back to 3 MINIs.

Cadreamer, I think in this instance, it's a matter of 'The More the Merrier'!! I say go for the Clubman S, it's snazzy and it'll look fantastic (yet a just a bit unique) parked next to your partner's car. Plus you'll both be cute as buttons at the MINI rallies (if you decide to attend)!

Welcome to the forum, two MINI families are happy families, clubman sounds like the way to go for you.

We're a 2-MINI family...just like a lot of other multiple-MINI families we started with one and after sharing the driver's seat had another within two months. No regrets.
