I have 06 mini super s convertible. we love the car it actually is the wifes car and she lets me drive it on week ends. it has been really trouble free except for thermastat housing leaking and the service engine lite coming on. I fixed both problems myself but have a small problem maybe some one can help me with. the change oil interval in the odometer gauge keeps adding up miles and don't know how to reset it. called mini garage and they want me to bring it in at a cost. any help thanks.

Welcome! Your wife is nice to share her MINI with you...but sounds like you're earning your turn in the driver's seat. Are you trying to re-set the oil-service indicator? There are threads for that. If it's not working properly then I apologize that I can't help. Good luck!

Welcome to NAM Forum !

This should help you out.

1. Locate the trip odometer button and depress and hold.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and partially turn into the first position.
3. Pay attention to the trip odometer to display the word ‘RESET’.
4. Release the trip odometer button, then press & hold it again.
5. The ‘RESET’ message will flash.
6. Release the button, and then press & release again (once only)
7. The service interval is now reset to 10,000 miles

btw: When at all possible, stick with MANN or MINI oil filters....even some really good name brands out there are terrible for our cars....so far these two have the best track record.
