Hello, all.
After 8 long years of drooling over MINI's, I finally own one. And, it is more fun than I could have imagined to drive one.
Any helpful hints on what products to use to clean the exterior?

For all of your cleaning/detailing/babying needs, try taking a look at the Detailing 101 forum on this very site... all the information you could ask for related to car care and products.
If you post there, you'd probably be best served by mentioning what interior options you have in case there's anything specific folks recommend for a particular surface material.
