I've been lurking for a few weeks as I made my purchase decision. I'm getting out of a big, bad, beautiful, but incredibly expensive BMW convertible that was unfortunately also a lemon. I've been to a couple of MINI driving events in southern California and I've had a blast driving all the different models. Figured I'd get a manual Clubman S so that it has some practical size/use and so that our older daughter can learn to drive it.

So I've made an offer on a 2009 Clubman S in Laser Blue from out of state. I'll find out soon if I'm getting it. Thanks to all the members' posts so far that have helped with my purchase decision. I already know what to look out for and what mods I'm interested in. JCW kit?

I'll write more once I know I'm getting the car.
