EXTENDED MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
EXTENDED MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
I am new to the Mini world and to date must say it's great. I purchased a 2006 with 33,000 miles and the initial maintenance ran out several months ago. I just found out that it can be extended another 3 years or 100,000 miles but the price varies substantially from dealership to dealership. What am I missing here and why the difference? I understand it is good anywhere in the US. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Does it cover the AC or battery?
The difference is just whatever the dealership decides to charge for it. Shop around, or do a search here and people have posted what they've paid and at which dealer.
I don't know if it covers the cost of recharging the AC. The battery is not covered; it is covered by the regular warranty.

Here is a 'sticky' about EM at the top of the coupe-talk-2007 section:

The Mini Maintenance Program Upgrade 6/100
I'm in the same situation my 2007 is at 39,000 miles - just found out that it need new front brakes and rotors - Dealership has quoted $900 to do this work.
I contacted numerous other dealers all from different states - I'm currently being told that the R56 standard price for the maintenance program upgrade is $1,595 which is set by Mini.
Like I say still haven't heard from everyone and will post more information once known.
