Mini in Wyoming
Mini in Wyoming
Hi Love to read the how to forums. I think we have problems that others don't.(-20f for a week). The owners manual says not to let the car idle, but you HAVE to let the car warm up a bit when it's that cold.
I remember over a week of -40 degrees in the winter of 79-80 in Rock Springs. No garage, no dip stick heater or oil pan heater to be found anywhere in town. My wife had our door handle of our poor Subaru snap off in her hand when she tried to open it. Before that, I believed the idiots that told me that once it gets colder than 0 degrees, it all feels the same. They were wrong! And those same idiots never lived in Wyoming......Gotta say, I don't miss living there in the winter. My hat's off to you Wyomingites - you're a tough breed.
