New to Mini

My friend and I both bought 2010 Mini S hardtops at our local dealership. We are absolutely thrilled with the cars! My car came with the cold weather package and seat warmers and hers did not. She didn't realize that she really wanted them until she had ridden with me in 20 degree weather. Is there any way she can add this and the handsfree Bluetooth feature to her Mini S hardtop since she has taken delivery of the car? She has had her car for less than a week.

Congrats you should have gotten a package deal

Anyway you can add the bluetooth, but it's expensive.

I have been thinking about the retrofit myself. Below is a link to a good article about it and a PDF with part numbers

You can add seat heat. I added it to our BMW 530. Cartunes in Atlanta installed in and many of the shops that install upgraded stereos also install seat heat. Make sure the shop is reputable as the MINI has airbags in the seats. The cost will probably be around $1,000.

The process is fairly simple. I installed seat heat myself on a Tundra pickup. The seat covers are removed and the heating elements are attached to the seat foam and the seat covers are reinstalled.

I had my first car with seat heat years ago and I will NEVER buy a car without it!! It is the best $500 I spent on the MINI

Happy Motoring!!!!!
